Since Télio’s 60th Anniversary in 2012, an important tradition began! Télio closes its doors for one whole day and spreads out to volunteer in several organizations in both Montreal and Toronto. Télio’s co-presidents and brothers, André and Raymond Télio had a strong desire to give back to the community that has so warmly welcomed their family business since 1952, and so began this wonderful company tradition!

For our 5th edition, Télio will be closing for the day on Wednesday June 15th, 2016 as staff members will volunteer in one of the following charitable organizations:

Accueil Bonneau contributes to the rehabilitation of the homeless.

Le Chaînon is a women’s shelter that has been helping women in crisis since 1932 and supports them in their endeavor to lead a better life.

Cummings Centre is a non-profit community organization that provides services and programs to individuals 50 years of age and over, ranging from those who function autonomously to those who have become frail.

Moisson Montréal mission is to ensure an optimal food supply to the community organizations that provide assistance to people in crisis on the island of Montreal.

Parks Canada is a non-profit organization that promotes citizens’ quality of life through actions of embellishment, cleanliness and recycling while supporting the environmental health of southwestern Montreal.

Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for the families of seriously ill children who are staying at a nearby hospital.

Sun Youth provides a highly personalized service and implements new programs to improve the current situation of its clientele through education, awareness and material assistance.

The Scott Mission is a street mission in downtown Toronto, serving the poor and needy. They welcome individuals and families to access spiritual, relational and practical resources in a journey towards hope and transformation.
